Word from the Pastor

March 2025

Greetings,

I am reminded of a bumper sticker that reads, “Christians aren’t perfect; just forgiven.”  That doesn’t excuse our sinfulness, but it does remind us of whom we are and where we stand before our God.

We never claim to be perfect.  We can’t obtain perfection, as we are still in the flesh.  Any attempt to work towards a perfection would result in increased awareness that we fall short of the glory of God (as stated in Romans 3:23).  But we do come before Him, pleading, “Lord, have mercy.”  And all for the sake of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God has had mercy upon us and for His sake forgives us all our sins.

This month, we enter Lent, a good opportunity to remember we aren’t perfect and to ask for that forgiveness we so desperately need.

In His Service,

Pastor

Bible Study

Scripture records, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing he message, and the message is head through the Word of Christ” (Romans 10:17, NIV).  Thus, ongoing Scripture studies are conducted on a regular basis, on a book of the Bible, or on a topic covered in the Scripture.  In addition to Sunday School classes for all ages, a weekly class is conducted Wednesday afternoon.  These are from 1330-1430 hrs and run throughout the year.
